Brief history and development of brush painting schools, followed by painting 'The Four Friends' (bamboo, orchid, chrysanthemum, plum blossom) using basic ink and wash painting techniques. Recommended for beginners, no prior painting skill needed.
Pauline Tsui has studied traditional Chinese brush painting since the age of 11. Later, she received a BA Degree in Practice of Art from Mills College and an AAS Degree in Design from Fashion Institute of Technology. She brings a sensitivity to her painted works that reflect both eastern and western influences.
