Chair Yoga with Barbara Papini
Lamorinda Village presents chair yoga —an opportunity to practice stretches and poses that bring flexibility, strength, and balance to our lives. Classes are led by Barbara Papini, an experienced instructor who loves working with older adults. Papini has taught Hatha yoga in the Bay Area for over 30 years. She encourages her students to go at their own pace, one step at a time, developing awareness.
Everything is done either sitting in or standing by your chair. We will begin and end with quiet breathing awareness. Please bring a bath size towel to use on the chair. A few blankets and other props will be available.
We will begin at 1:30 PM and will end the one-hour practice with tea and social time. Barbara will ensure that all poses are shown at a variety of levels to accommodate those who are new to the practice or have previously experienced yoga.
