Tai Ch'uan improves balance, bone density, circulation, mental clarity and elevates mood. All movements are applicable for self-defense. Tai Chi is moving meditation or Qigong with martial intent. Qigong is ancient Chinese "energy work," involving relaxation and deep breathing. Push hands gently develops non-invasive marital coordination with a partner. Grandmaster Cooper has been training and teaching for over 50 years. Class begins with Qigong in front of the community center and completes with Tai Chi inside. No class 11/16 and 11/23.
