Mountain Shadow Film Society brings the best in new release foreign and independent films that are otherwise unavailable in our area. These are films that are often available in San Francisco or Berkeley but never reach our locale. We screen one selection five times each month in the Walnut Creek downtown library to an audience of 100-150 attendees for each show.
In March we will be showing CAPERNAUM, Lebanon’s submission for the Oscar “Best Foreign Language” film. A riveting tale of a 12-year old street-wise boy who sues his parent’s for having been born. This powerful film is on par with other titles we’ve brought to Walnut Creek from that part of the world, including “The Salesman” (2017), and “The Insult” (2018).
