Limited capacity: Registration Closed
Join us for a captivating and enriching afternoon with Vita Voci, an eight-person vocal ensemble, performing music from 13th century England to America's Appalachia.
Vita Voci’s exploration of the migration of music from England to America leads from the courts of King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I, through Ireland, across the “Sea of Green Darkness,” straight to the Appalachian mountains of America where isolation, poverty, love of music, and nostalgia preserved and transformed the music of the homeland into something uniquely American.
We are joined by fiddler Anne Bingham Goess and our own clarinetist, David.
REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Please call Kathryn Ishizu at Lamorinda Village, 925-283-3500, to register.
