Experience the magic of the East Bay Hills with John Muir Land Trust's (JMLT) Virtual Twilight Events on Thursday August 27, from 4:00 – 5:00pm. They are hosting one of their our favorite nature exploration events online with informative and interactive discussions for the whole family.
Curious about planets in our solar system? Wish you knew stories behind constellations? Join Astronomical Society of the Pacific for a fun and interactive discussion about the night sky. We will talk about giant planets, the phases of the moon, and constellations. Participants will have an opportunity to create a moon journal and ask questions to understand what they are seeing in the sky.
Track the moon phases at home! Before the event, look for the moon in the sky each day to complete Your Moon Journal and be prepared to share your findings! This activity was designed by Astronomical Society of the Pacific; you can learn more here: https://astrosociety.org/education-outreach/early-learners/breakfast-moon.html
