In this workshop, we will discuss financing options including Reverse Mortgages and the recent passage of Proposition 19. This proposition allows homeowners 55+ (and some others) to transfer their property tax base to a replacement primary home in ANY California county, even when the replacement property is more expensive. Previously, Prop 60 allowed counties to refuse a transfer – and it limited purchases to equal or less than the previous property’s market value.
