Originally from San Diego, Beth graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Rhetoric (yes, that is actually a major). She spent 8 years at PacifiCare Health Systems in sales management for Secure Horizons, one of California’s first Medicare Advantage plans. She was part of the team that expanded Secure Horizons throughout the Bay Area, Sacramento and the Central Valley.
In 2000, Beth became a licensed financial advisor to work alongside her husband Jim at Smith Barney until she retired from corporate life to be a full-time mom and active community volunteer.
Realizing the incredible need to help people navigate the Medicare maze, Beth came out of retirement to launch the Medicare Solutions division of Gebhardt Group Inc., an independent financial planning wealth management firm.
She and Jim live in Lafayette, CA and have four children ranging in age from 21 to 14. She is an aspiring guitarist who enjoys baking, hiking, yoga and 80’s music.
One of Beth’s biggest regrets in life is that she never took a typing class.
