There are 53 million people in the US caring for family members and friends. While caregiving can be a rewarding experience, it can also be challenging. Learn about resources and supports available for family caregivers of older adults and other chronic health conditions. Family Caregiver Alliance is one of 11 Caregiver Resource Centers in California, providing supports to family caregivers in the Bay Area for over 40 years.

 

Christina Irving is the Client Services Director at Family Caregiver Alliance. She oversees the staff of the Bay Area Caregiver Resource Center who provide direct services to family caregivers, including assessment, counseling, education, and support. She has been with FCA for about 18 years, beginning as a Family Consultant and Clinical Supervisor. She received a Master’s degree in Social Work from San Jose State University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
